Children/Youth
 
Acolytes Acolytes carry the cross and flame to light candles at every worship service. It provides an opportunity for young people to participate in leading the worship service.
 
Children's Sermons At many worship services, we pause for our most precious members - our children. We invite them to take centerstage to experience a message designed especially for them.
 
Sunday School All young people are invited to attend a special time of study and discussion every Sunday at 10:00 A.M.
 
Vacation Bible School What child doesn't look forward to summer? Those in the Asbury Family and many throughout the surrounding neighborhood always have fun learning about their faith during this week of study of the scriptures, music, stories, and craft - making.
 
Children's Choir is a talented and energetic group of young voices. The Children's Choir provides music for worship services on the second Sundays.
 
Special Events for Children Throughout the year, our young people stay busy attending conferences and taking part in various field trips. They are also engaged in making crafts and special gifts for the elderly who reside in nursing homes. 
Administrative Council The governing body of the United Methodist church
 
Trustee Board The Board of Trustees is responsible for the acquisition and maintenance of all physical property of Asbury United Methodist Church as well as the church parsonage.
 
Adult Sunday School All adults are invited to attend a special time of study and discussion every Sunday at 10:00 A.M.
 
Chancel Choir provides music for the 11:00 A.M. worship service on the first and third Sundays and seasonal/special services. 
 
Men's Choir  provides music for worship services on the fourth Sundays. 
 
Communion Stewards assist in the preparation of The Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month and special occasions.
 
Worship Committee prepares the sanctuary for worship services and advises the Acolytes.
 
Ushers serve an important role in the worship service.  The ushers welcome and find seats for all worshipers, make sure they are comfortable, and assist with any special needs. They also distribute bulletins and collect offering during the worship service. 
 
Greeters are special people who take a few extra minutes before and after services to say hello to worshipers, answer questions, and help with directions. 
 
United Methodist Women The United Methodist Women are responsible for ministering to the needs of the women of Asbury as well as women in the community at large. The United Methodist Women is perhaps the most active of Asbury's organization in terms of its commitment to the educational and spiritual needs of its constituency.
 
United Methodist Men The United Methodist Men are responsible for ministering to the needs of the men of Asbury. They also work in conjunction with other church organizations serving in outreach ministries. 
 
Willing Workers provide and serve dinners for bereaved families. They also take flowers from the worship service to the sick and shut-ins every Sunday.
 
Young Adult Ministry:  The Young Adult Ministry, which inclube members who are 18 - 45 years old, assist with the Children and Youth programs and participate in the Second Sunday Worship Services.  The Young Adult Ministry volunteers their time once a month to assist the Asbury Treasures (ages 75 and above) with general cleaning, light yard work, minor renovations, and grocery shopping.
Hospitality Committee The Hospitality Committe plans and coordinates the receptions for incoming and outgoing ministers, Christmas Banquets, church picnics; annually recognizes deserving church members for their dedicated service to Asbury, and make arrangements for flowers for bereaved families.
 
Communications Committee  Members are responsible for publicizing all church- related events, updating church directory, sending correspondences; informing Asbury Family members of emergencies, illnesses, deaths, special events, etc.; greeting and welcoming visitors before and after church services.
 
Outreach Ministries  The Outreach Ministries address the concerns and conditions of people in our community and across the world.

Van Ministry The church van is generally available to provide transportation to and from Asbury worship services, youth activities, workshops, meetings, etc.

 Martha Ministry serves breakfast every Sunday morning at 9:00A.M.
